This is an excellent book: well-written, up-to-date, comprehensive. It is more to the point than many undergrad psych textbooks. I find many other books too conversational. This book, Personality Psychology, gets to the point; explains concepts very thoroughly and it is not overly dense or difficult to read. Also -- this may not be terribly important for most undergrads -- the index and bibliographies are very useful.Product details

This book was great for my Personality Psychology class.
Almost exactly the same as the current edition, and $200 cheaper.
if you want to learn about the 6 domains of knowledge this is your book.
This book was required by my teacher while in the marriage and family therapy grad program I was in- it is a good book and was highly useful while I was in school- goes in depth about personality disorders and other pathology.
Good read
I ordered this for a class and it has been great. Discusses historical research on personality and goes into the details of today's environmental vs physiological aspects of researching personality. There is a newer version out and I bought that one as well but you could get by with this one for a year or two depending on your teacher.
A very well-written and detailed book about the psychological study of personality. Many different approaches to studying personality are discussed as are a few different models. The 16PF, NEO-PI, and Eyenck's model are discussed and the influence of environment on your genetic heritability for personality is also included (epigenetics).
A very challenging topic was approached in a way that made it easy to understand.
